About Me
Hello and welcome! I’m Lorraine, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through trauma, loss, and major life transitions. I specialize in reproductive mental health, including pregnancy loss, infant loss, birth trauma, and the experience of parenting after loss.
My connection to this work is deeply personal. My own experiences with miscarriage, infant loss, and raising a rainbow baby shaped the path that led me here and continue to inform the care I provide. I understand how grief can exist alongside hope, and how complicated it can feel to hold both at the same time. I want our work together to represent a space where your experiences are honored without needing to be minimized or explained.
In addition to reproductive mental health, I support clients navigating a range of life transitions and challenges. I recognize that different experiences can bring unique emotional needs, and I strive to meet each client with steadiness, respect, and genuine understanding.
Therapeutic Approach
My approach is person-centered and grounded in creating a calm and supportive space where you can explore your emotions at your own pace. Drawing from Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and EMDR, I help clients make sense of the patterns, relationships, and experiences that have shaped their lives.
I believe that many of the ways we cope, protect ourselves, and navigate relationships develop for important reasons. Together, we will work to better understand these patterns with compassion and curiosity, creating space for greater self-understanding, healing, and meaningful change.
I strive to help clients make sense of their experiences rather than judge them, while building on the strengths they already possess. Our work allows space for both immediate support and longer-term healing.
Outside the Therapy Room
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my husband, going to concerts, hiking, gardening, and working on remodeling projects at home. I also love relaxing with my dog and reading for both work and pleasure.
