About Me

Hi, I’m Dr. Amanda Lewis, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the Clinical Director of Reproductive Mental Health and Wellness. I work with adults, couples, and families navigating trauma, high conflict relationships, reproductive mental health concerns, attachment wounds, crisis experiences, and the emotional patterns that can keep people feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed.

I am especially experienced in working with high acuity clients, including those navigating complex trauma, suicidality and self-harm, intense emotional dysregulation, domestic violence dynamics, and overwhelming life transitions. Much of my work centers around helping people better understand themselves, their relationships, and the survival patterns that no longer feel sustainable.

My perspective as a therapist has been shaped not only by clinical training, but by lived experiences with pregnancy loss, motherhood, attachment, and the realities of balancing relationships, caregiving, and mental health all at once. I understand how deeply these experiences can shape the way we see ourselves, respond to others, and move through the world. I also understand that healing is rarely linear and that growth requires both honesty and self compassion.

As Clinical Director, I remain deeply involved in the care and direction of the practice. I support and mentor our clinicians, oversee client care, and care deeply about creating a practice culture that feels relational, thoughtful, and genuinely human.

Therapeutic Approach

My work is informed by attachment theory and trauma informed care, with a strong focus on understanding patterns and how they show up in relationships. I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy, particularly in couples and relational work, while adapting the work to fit each client’s unique experiences and needs.

My style is collaborative, warm, grounded, and direct. I show up as a real person in the room, not a blank slate. I value honesty, authenticity, and mutual respect, and I believe meaningful change happens when people feel emotionally safe enough to be fully honest about what is happening beneath the surface. Therapy with me is not about fixing you. It is about understanding yourself more deeply, strengthening your relationships, and making intentional choices from a place of greater awareness and self trust.

Outside the Therapy Room

Outside of the therapy room, I am a wife and mom to an amazing rainbow girl and her furry siblings. Humor, authenticity, and connection are important parts of my life and naturally shape the way I show up both personally and professionally. When I’m not working, you will usually find me at the beach, reading, bingeing true crime, or planning my family’s next camping trip.

Let’s Connect

While I am not currently accepting new therapy clients, I remain actively involved in helping ensure that every person who reaches out feels thoughtfully matched with a clinician whose approach, personality, and expertise align with what they are needing.  I would be honored to help you find the right fit within our practice.
