Licensed Clinical Social Worker

LCSW #95188

Welcome! I’m Bridget. I’m glad you’re here. I know that seeking therapy services can sometimes be scary or overwhelming – maybe you’re hesitant to start therapy, maybe you’re eager to get support through therapy, maybe it doesn’t feel like you have this time for yourself, or perhaps you’ve had poor past experiences seeking support. Regardless, pregnancy, losses, experiencing past or recent traumas, and/or transitioning to the role of parent can all be profound, challenging, and emotion-filled times for many reasons. I appreciate you thinking about reaching out at this time in your life.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received my MSW from Washington University in St. Louis. I primarily draw on the therapeutic modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I have previously worked with adults in a number of health settings, most recently at a primary care and perinatal clinic providing individual and group therapy related to a variety of mental, emotional, and physical health difficulties. My work has most often been related to concerns of anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I have completed advanced perinatal mental health psychotherapy training, and I have also personally experienced a pregnancy loss and related health complications. I have long been passionate about reproductive health and the intersection of physical health and mental health.

I’m proud of you for considering therapy at this time and look forward to potentially connecting. My goal as a therapist is to create a space with you that is warm, non-judgmental, and supportive of your goals. My hope is that we can collaborate together, so you can function in your daily life in a way that feels good for you. I also acknowledge that reproductive mental health challenges can impact individuals of all genders, sexualities, family structures, and cultural backgrounds, so I encourage you to reach out.

When I’m not in the therapy room, you can most often find me on the couch reading with my cats, Neil Young and Otto, or doing a crossword puzzle with my husband. I’m a native Midwesterner who loves living In the Bay Area. I love spending time outdoors, hiking, and generally enjoying the mild weather here!
